GEA Wiegand
Evaporation

GEA Wiegand Evaporation plants are used as a thermal separation technology, for the concentration or separation of liquid solutions, suspensions and emulsions.

A liquid concentrate with a constant final concentration that can still be pumped is generally the desired final product. During these processes, our design allows that product qualities are maintained and preserved.

GEA Wiegand
Distillation / Rectification

Distillation technology is frequently encountered in the Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Food and Beverage, and Environmental Technology industries. We supply distillation plants of any shape and size for the separation of compound mixtures, for gas stripping and for the recovery and cleaning of solvents.

Vacuum Technology

GEA Wiegand vacuum systems are based on jet pump technology. They essentially consist of combinations of jet pumps and condensers.   Steam jet vacuum systems can be designed for various applications, as

steam jet vacuum pumps
vacuum / steam jet cooling systems
vacuum degassing systems

Steam jet vacuum systems have a simple design, they are reliable and require low maintenance because they work without moving parts. They are resistant to corrosion since they can be manufactured from nearly any material, even glass, porcelain, graphite, titanium etc.

Jet Pump Technologies

Jet pumps, also referred to as ejectors, are devices for the conveyance, compression or mixing of gases, vapours, liquids or solids and for the production of vacuum in which a gaseous or liquid medium serves as the motive force. They operate by the conversion of pressure energy into velocity in suitable nozzles.

GEA Wiegand
Gas Scrubbing Technology

For more than 40 years, GEA Wiegand has delivered systems for the treatment and scrubbing of exhaust air flows charged with pollutants and/or particles.
A distinction is made between nearly dry, nearly dry and wet exhaust air scrubbing procedures. The core competence of GEA Wiegand focuses on the process engineering and design of gas scrubbers for wet exhaust air flows.
The operation of gas scrubbers is based on the principle of absorption, i.e. absorbing or dissolving a substance in a liquid.
